Brănești Cellars (1996) is a winery hidden inside a converted old limestone mine, 48km from Chișinău in Orhei district, 5 minutes from Old Orhei. 75km of tunnels at 60m depth with constant 12-14°C temperature and 90-92% humidity — ideal aging conditions. 800+ hectares of surface vineyards, varied portfolio from elegant sparkling to sweet dessert wines. The winery pioneers Moldova's first underground hotel and a «Stone Age» tourist complex with event hall.

“Ask for technologist to give you a tour. Don’t go in there with a regular guide they know much less. Make sure to wear warm clothes since it’s cold inside the cellars. Great place to learn history of wine making in Moldova.”
