An agrotourism guesthouse at Vălcineț, in Călărași district, at Strada Ștefan cel Mare 123, in the area of the Călărași forests. The site lists three units: the Big Villa, at 7500 lei a night, with three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, a living room with a fireplace and an attic with four beds; the Cellar-style Cottage, at 2000 lei, with a bedroom, a folding bed, a bathroom and a living room, "for couples or small families"; and Cellar-style Cottage 2, at 1500 lei, compact, with a bedroom, a bathroom and a mini-kitchen. In the yard there is a hot tub at 38-40 degrees, for up to 8 people, at 800 lei, a separate barbecue area and free Wi-Fi. Hours are not public · booking on the site or by phone. Reviews compare it to a grandparents' house: Mrs Nadejda welcomes guests "very warmly" and does her best to make them feel at home, the place is quiet, welcoming, with "all the little details carefully thought out", a combination of modern and rustic "like a mountain cabin", decorated with taste. One group that came for a retreat, though, was disappointed that it is right in a village, with neighbours behind a chain-link fence going about their business · it is not a secluded place, and it is good to know that beforehand.
