Worth it for a traditional meal in a setting all its own · a big garden with ponds, retro decor and a motorbike museum. At organised events, two reviews complain about staff attitude and unkept promises.
Curtea Moșului, at Strada Nicolae Milescu Spătaru 38, is a restaurant with traditional Moldovan cuisine in an unusual setting: an enormous garden with two small ponds, a lot of traditional and retro decorations and even a motorbike museum on the grounds. Open daily 10:00-18:00. No website. Reviews of the place and the food are enthusiastic: "great staff and amazing place", "the food was the best", "one of the best places in Chișinău to feel the roots" · food, drinks, landscape and soul. It is used a lot for events, weddings and birthdays, and one customer calls it "the most wonderful place in Chișinău" for that. It is precisely at events, though, that the complaints appear: at a wedding the food was quite nice, but "the attitudes of the staff and owners were awful", with an administrator described as irresponsible; at a child's party, the paella promised at booking, cooked in front of the guests, was not cooked that way, and the experience "fell far short of expectations".

“We recently hosted our son’s party at this place, and while some aspects were acceptable, the overall experience fell far short of expectations. When booking, we were told that paella would be cooked in front of our guests, a key reason we chose this venue. Only two weeks before the event, we were informed this would not happen because the pan was “too big” for our guest count…”
