Domeniile Cuza is a boutique winery founded in 1864, located in Alexandru Ioan Cuza village (Cahul district, MD-5311, Stefan cel Mare 130) — exactly on the 45th parallel north, known universally as the wine parallel. The brand claims its historical heritage from the year of Voivode Alexandru Ioan Cuza reforms (1864 Emancipation Decree freeing peasants and redistributing agricultural plots), and the village bearing his name became the nucleus of a wine micro-region. The current portfolio covers both international varietals (Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay Barrique, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec) and Moldovan autochthonous varietals (Rară Neagră, Fetească Neagră, Viorica, Saperavi) plus signature blends (Rară Neagră & Cabernet Sauvignon, Saperavi & Fetească Neagră, Merlot & Saperavi rosé).
