Grill House
Brick-walled steakhouse with wood-fired grill, tucked just steps from the center
Steak grilled over wood with roasted vegetables, served on white ceramic platters · Moldovan borscht with sour cream
You step through a narrow, ivy-clad alley entrance off Armenească and emerge into a warm dining room lined with exposed brick and solid wood furniture. The wood-grilled steak is the star, but the menu stretches from creamy chicken-and-mushroom pasta to hearty Moldovan borsch, with shrimp-and-guacamole starters. House wine is decent, the atmosphere ideal for a relaxed evening with friends or family dinner. The place shines best in the evening, when warm lighting and a steady stream of guests bring the room to life.

The restroom, while not dirty, resembles a neglected student camp bathroom. The overall ambiance is poor, dreary, and forgotten. I tried the aubergine tahini from th…”
