Winery Kornova · Weingut Klink

A small winery in the village of Cornova, Ungheni district, 68 km north-west of Chișinău as the crow flies, open to visitors on Saturdays and Sundays from 13:00 to 15:00, per Google. The site tells the story: Cornova was a German colony from 1822, and the Klink family had the steam mill here, a red brick house and a massive arched cellar, which still stand; Igor Popa, born in the village and educated in Frankfurt, returned in 2022 with the project "The Renaissance of Cornova 2030" and officially opened "Kornova Weingut Klink", a guesthouse and winery, on 1 October 2023. On the Vin de Autor page the winery is described as an artisanal producer founded in 2022, with 11 varieties, from Riesling, Sauvignon Blanc and Viorica to Pinot Noir, Fetească Neagră, Rară Neagră, Saperavi and Malbec, with wines from the 2021-2024 harvests, including a Muscat sparkling and a Brut, in limited editions sold directly at the winery. Under the name "Kornova Schloss", the site lists a broad offer: tastings, accommodation in chalets in the forest, a restaurant, a spa with a pool, hammam and sauna, hiking, birdwatching, quad rides, cycling, boating, fishing and events · but it also has a section for investors, so it is worth confirming by phone what is actually open. There are only two short reviews: "worth a visit" and a glass of wine.
