Worth it if you want local wine and a full agritourism experience near Ungheni - forest chalets, hiking and a sauna in a quiet village. A winery with German-Bessarabian roots.
Winery Kornova · Weingut Klink is a winery opened in 2023 by the Popa family (Igor Popa), named after the German-Bessarabian Klink family, former owners of the village cellar, in Cornova (Ungheni district, 80 km north-west of Chișinău) - a distinctive project combining biodynamic winemaking, agrotourism and the conservation of the traditional Moldovan landscape. Its 12 ha of vineyard are farmed on Rudolf Steiner's principles (no pesticides, chemical fertilisers or industrial intervention), focused on heritage Moldovan varieties (Fetească Albă, Fetească Neagră, Rara Neagră, Plavai) alongside Pinot Noir and Riesling; the project has German-Bessarabian roots (the Klink family). Production is limited to 25,000 bottles a year, with German-named labels (Sonnenberg, Mondtanz, Cornova Cuvée) and a minimal-intervention cellar. The complex also has 4 guest cabins (luxury tent camping with a double bed and heating), a marked hiking trail on the surrounding hills, a mini-SPA with a Finnish sauna and an events hall for intimate weddings and team-building. Visits are weekend-only (Sat-Sun 13:00-15:00, booking required one week ahead).
