GUD Sea Food brings a rare concept to Chișinău - a Mediterranean restaurant with fish displayed on ice at the entrance (daily selection from the Mediterranean, Atlantic and Black Sea: gilthead bream, branzino, bluefin tuna, calamari, scallops, prawns, lobster) which you choose and have prepared grilled, salt-baked or raw (tartare/carpaccio). Cuisine draws from Dalmatian, Greek and Italian coasts: seafood paella, squid-ink risotto, linguine alle vongole, cold platters of oysters (Fine de Claire) and urchins. Strong white wine list (Fetească Albă, Sauvignon Blanc, Vermentino, Sancerre) focused on fish pairings. Elegant marine atmosphere, ideal for romantic dinners or business meetings.

Shrimp comes up most often, then tuna, mussels, scallops, paella and oysters. Freshness is mentioned separately from any dish, as a quality in itself. But meat appears almost as often as a praised main, and reviews also name the pizza, the platters and the house lemonades, the mango-pineapple one and the aloe-grape one. Google itself files it as a modern European restaurant, not a fish one.

They do not describe the same thing: two dishes forgotten at the table, meat cooked other than asked, a lunch where the restaurant was closed with no notice, the lack of parking. Two are heavier · one reports food poisoning and says the restaurant never answered after being contacted privately, another describes a manager turning the blame on the guest. Price appears as a complaint in four reviews, the same share as before.
