Pensiunea Casa Bunicului
Restored 1923 holiday home in Cantemir, near Vinia vineyard
Stay in a 1923 house + traditional cellar dinner with house wine
Casa Bunicului pension occupies a 1923 peasant house restored with original wood, tiled stoves and inherited furniture — exactly as "grandfather" lived. The 4 rooms open onto a traditional courtyard with verandah, earth cellar, live-fire oven and a small wine cellar with house wines (Fetească, Cabernet, Rara Neagră). The kitchen reproduces southern Bessarabian recipes: noodle zeamă, Gagauz pies with pumpkin, cauldron lamb with mămăligă, quince jam. Strategic location for southern Moldova: Cahul wineries (45 min), Lower Prut Reserve (1 h), Manuc Bey (30 min) and the Romanian border (15 min — ideal for a combined holiday).
