Tourist information centre on Ștefan cel Mare boulevard, open daily, weekends included, from 9:30 to 17:30. The reviews are unusually warm for an information desk. A visitor who has been to many countries calls it the best tourist information centre they have walked into, and recounts that the person at the desk sorted out tickets to Cricova over the phone for some tourists. Another says it was explained to them at length what is worth seeing, with humour, and that they were even given tips on buying fruit at the market. Restaurant recommendations and explanations about local customs and traditions are given, and the people there help with phone calls and reservations too. A university group says the information was precise and perfectly explained. There is a limit too, flagged by a three-star visitor: the staff, young and English-speaking, did not know the minibus stations in Chișinău well, and he was misdirected to Gara de Nord for the bus to Orhei when it actually left from the Central Bus Station.
