Worth it for a warm, colourful hour, especially with kids or for photos: 1,000+ tropical butterflies that land on your hand and can be fed fruit. Come in daytime and good weather (closed when raining); tickets 70-100 lei, a short visit.
Befly Garden is an interactive tropical butterfly garden in Chișinău, with over 1,000 butterflies and 15-20 species (varying by season), brought from the Philippines, Costa Rica and Africa - Morpho, Idea leuconoe, Parthenos sylvia and several Papilio species. You walk among them in a green corner of exotic plants, flowers and a pond; the butterflies land right on you (they don't bite) and you can feed them fruit. Very photogenic and best suited to families with children. Good to know: it's best in daytime when the butterflies are active (after 4 PM they turn passive), and the garden doesn't operate on rainy days. Open 10:00-19:00 daily; tickets 100 lei adults, 70 lei children (3-12), free under 3. Two locations: Str. Trandafirilor 17 (by the amusement park) and in Valea Morilor Park.

By the way they can sit on you while you are walking in that place. you can walk with them only if they are sitting on the fruit. It is quite small, but cosy.”
