Know before you go: a two-star review describes a wall of smoke right at the entrance and hookah smell even in the non-smoking area, so it is not the place for anyone who cannot take smoke. Booking is by phone or WhatsApp and, per the site, is confirmed only after a call back from the manager. The opening hours on the site contradict each other, so call before you travel.
Cave Lounge sits at Strada Columna 104 in the centre of Chisinau, about 400 m from Piata Marii Adunari Nationale, next to the Eugen Doga pedestrian street. Its own website presents it as a hookah lounge with a bar, a kitchen and private gaming rooms with PS5 and Xbox Series X consoles on 4K screens. The menu published on the site has 12 items: hookahs at 350 to 450 MDL, cocktails at 140 to 180 MDL, kitchen dishes at 220 to 420 MDL. The sushi praised in three Google reviews does not appear on that menu. Five-star reviews mention dense, flavourful smoke, polite staff and the consoles in the rooms. One of them describes real volcanic rock „brought from Los Angeles and Greece" shaping the space and says the build took four years · that claim is not on the site and could not be verified elsewhere. A two-star review describes the opposite: a „thick wall of hookah smoke" right at the entrance that you have to walk through, hookah smell even in the non-smoking area, decor that in person looks like cheap plastic scenery, sushi smothered in mayonnaise and cocktails that seem built from the same ingredients in slightly different proportions. Per Google, hours are 16:00 to 02:00 Sunday through Thursday and 16:00 to 04:00 on Friday and Saturday.
