Hotel in the centre of Tiraspol, with a restaurant, parking out front and a currency exchange office right next door. Reviews praise the reception above all: a guest who says they have visited over sixty countries describes a receptionist who explained where to change money, wrote out in Russian the places they wanted to see, and, when they lost a border document, promised to call border control in the morning. Other guests confirm the reception helps, taxis included. The rooms are described as large, spacious and clean, as are the lobby and the restaurant. One guest gives figures too: around 50 euros a night for two, with pizza at 7 euros, a burger at 5 and a smoothie at 2.50 in the restaurant. The complaints are specific. The breakfast is described as poor. The tap water was muddy for one guest, who acknowledges it is a city problem but still notes the price is higher than elsewhere in Tiraspol. During the day the corridor lights are off. The staff, apart from reception, do not speak English and manage with machine translation. One prospective guest says they wrote from two email addresses about a long stay and got no reply in five days.
