Leuntea Vin
Family-run winery with exceptional white wines and authentic Moldovan hospitality
Exceptional white wines (prosecco and riesling) paired with local cheeses and warm pastries
Worth it for one of the oldest wineries in Bessarabia · winemaking since 1817 at Grădinița, run today by the Kyssa family, with tastings by reservation. The whites are the most consistently praised part, at 4.8 from over 50 reviews.
This is a family-run boutique winery where the owner himself welcomes you, walks you through the vines, and shares the stories behind every bottle. The white wines-especially the prosecco and Riesling-have earned rave reviews from visitors around the world. Traditional Moldovan food is served during tastings: local cheeses, warm plăcinte (filled pastries), pan-fried meats. The setting is unpretentious and deeply relaxing, a quiet rural courtyard far from mass wine tourism, steeped in local history. The place shines best at midday or late afternoon, when the sun dips gently over the vineyard. First impressions might be modest, but the warmth, the wine, and the food make it unforgettable.
