Odélle

Odelle is a cafe at 70 Mihai Eminescu street, in the Centru district, 2.3 km in a straight line from the middle of Chisinau. Its own website calls it "all day breakfast and evening gatherings" and lists daily hours of 8:00 to 22:00, which match the Google hours. The menu published on the site is long: egg dishes (Big Ierusalim Breakfast, shakshuka, Spanish-style eggs, English breakfast), cottage cheese pancakes and crepes, porridge and granola, croissants, salads, soups, pasta, main courses, a kids menu and desserts. Tapas can only be ordered from 17:00, again per the site. There is a bar with cocktails, beer and a wine list that includes Domeniile Vorniceni, Gitana Winery, Aurelius and prosecco. Prices from the site, read in September 2026: egg dishes 105 to 225 lei, main courses 140 to 390 lei, espresso 45 lei, latte 65 lei, cocktails 135 lei. Reviewers praise the breakfast, one 5-star review says the eggs were "pieces of art", and also praise the staff, the fast service and the interior with a small terrace. The same reviews show the limits. A 3-star review calls the menu expansive but uneven: the Spanish-style eggs were "totally average", the cottage cheese pancakes good but not great, and the latte "far from the best available in Chisinau". Late morning the room can be full, one couple was told a table could take up to 30 minutes, though they were put on a waiting list and called back within five minutes. A 1-star review describes a booking made a week ahead that was cut to two hours, announced only one day before the event because another reservation had been taken after theirs, with no alternative offered. Separately, during a city power cut the plate arrived incomplete and cold after nearly an hour and was charged in full, with no reduction, per a 3-star review.
