Vatra Strămoșească is a rest zone on the shore of Lake Dănceni (Ialoveni), ~25 minutes from Chișinău: wooden terraces and gazebos with rentable grills, a volleyball court, a kids' playground and plenty of green along the shore. Open year-round, daily 10:00-22:00 - in summer for lakeside barbecues, the rest of the year for birthdays and gatherings in the gazebos. Simple and unpretentious; the WCs could use an upgrade, as visitors note.
