Worth it for a full weekend on the Dniester · accommodation, restaurant, pool, saunas, hammam and outings on the water in the same yard, with guests who return year after year. Two reviews, though, complain about dated rooms and too few staff.
A complex at Molovata Nouă, in Dubăsari district, on the bank of the Dniester, with a hotel, a restaurant and a yacht club, open around the clock. The site lists rooms, a restaurant with breakfast, a Finnish and an infrared sauna, a hammam, a pool, a tennis court, parking, Wi-Fi and a conference hall, and on the water a yacht tour on the Dniester and jet ski. Nearby they organise "PINO" creative wooden workshops and excursions to the "Ion Ștefăniță" house museum. Reviews are mostly very good: a lush, picturesque property, immaculately maintained, a warm, attentive team, a tranquillity hard to find elsewhere, very good food, clean, comfortable rooms, special requests handled fast and with a smile · several guests write they come back year after year. Two reviews, though, are critical: one says the place "has tremendous potential but needs much better management", with one lady doing almost everything, rooms not updated and a bathroom with no shower gel or shampoo; another notes that, with 3-4 waiters for many tables, the staff forgot the bill had been paid and asked for it again the next day.

One of my favorite places to escape from Chișinău. What I love most about Vila Dorului is that sometimes you almost forget you're in Moldova · sitting by the Nistru, it feels like you're somewhere by the sea. There is a swimming pool, tennis court and sauna, and you can take a jet ski or boat out on the river. I sometimes make it the relaxing part of a longer Molovata Nouă adventure after hiking or exploring the surrounding villages.
