Tourist complex in the medieval village of Butuceni, gateway to Old Orhei archaeological reserve. The wide terrace overlooks the Răut canyon and the cave monastery carved into the cliff face. Menu features sarmale (stuffed cabbage rolls), mămăligă with cheese, zeamă (chicken soup), poale-n-brâu pies, and house red wine from local barrels. Interior decorated with woven carpets, dowry chests, and peasant pottery. In summer, the inner courtyard transforms into an open-air dining hall. Staff speak Romanian and English. Perfect stop before or after exploring Old Orhei, 60 km from Chișinău.

“Very nice restaurant in a picturesque location next to a river. I imagine in the summer it would be great to sit outside and enjoy a nice glass of wine! We had a home-made glass of red wine and it was heavenly! Also the food was delicious and plentiful! Our waiter spoke excellent English, was attentive, polite and helpful! His name was Tudor - highly recommendable!”
