Stațiunea Saharna-Țiglău

Four A-frame cottages on the cliff above the Dniester at Saharna, in Rezina district, 100 metres above the river and 1 km from the Saharna Monastery, founded in the 18th century · all per the site, which also gives the price: from 1600 lei a night. The founder, Victor Lupașcu, tells how he found the place in 2018 looking for calm, grew an orchard, built the cottages and, more recently, the Finnish sauna and the hot tub · "I did not want a hotel, I wanted a place where people could find their quiet again". Hours are not public · booking on the site. Reviews praise exactly that: a cosy, quiet place, "great view on the Dniester", green fresh air, "a remote location which is perfect for evading daily routine", nicely built, comfy houses and terraces, a lot of play equipment for kids, a modern sauna. A guest who stayed for a conference finds it "particularly pleasant, well-kept", in an area with numerous historical and archaeological sites. The minuses are concrete too: "the only thing missing is the staff", writes an otherwise delighted guest; another found broken dishes, cutlery in poor condition, broken furniture, no coal for sale · "have your own matches and paper" · and a TV that connects to the phone with difficulty and keeps disconnecting.
