The Saharna landscape reserve strings together over 20 waterfalls along a stream that descends through a forested gorge toward the Nistru river. At its base lies the Saharna monastic complex, one of Moldova's most important pilgrimage sites, with a stone footprint attributed to the Mother of God. The trail climbs past waterfalls through beech and oak forests, ending at a rocky belvedere with sweeping views. It's a day trip that blends nature with the spiritual-visit especially around the feast day on August 28, when the place comes alive, or in spring, when the waterfalls are at their fullest.

“A wonderful place to relax during the week, but it gets very crowded on weekends. There's room for one, two, or three tents. There's plenty of firewood, and drinking water flows from the stream. Staying overnight allows you to explore the area much better and enjoy all the natural grandeur and history of Saharna.”
