Casa Agricultorului Varzari occupies a traditional 1903 peasant house in Butuceni village (Old Orhei), restored by the Varzari family with original wood, clay, tiled stove and oak verandah. 5 welcoming rooms with double bed and wool blankets, modern private bathrooms. Hosts Vasile and Nina raise hens, goats and sheep in the yard, keep a 1-ha vegetable garden and traditional Isabella grape vines; all meals come from the homestead. Breakfast with fresh eggs, goat cheese, morning-baked pies. Dinner with Bessarabian specialities served in the stone cellar: clay-pot zeamă, mămăligă with cracklings, sarmale, cauldron lamb, barrel wine. Direct access (10 min walk) to Butuceni cave monastery and Trebujeni Belvedere.
