Casa Sobarului
A reed-roofed house right on the Dniester, with home cooking and sunsets
A dinner of produce from the surrounding households, on the terrace, at sunset over the Dniester
Worth it for a real meal on the bank of the Dniester, in a house with a character of its own rather than a copied one · 4.9 from over 200 reviews, home cooking and a sunset that is half the reason. Come in the evening and book.
A rustic house on the bank of the Dniester at Molovata, with a traditional reed roof, holding 4.9 from over 200 reviews. Google places it at a moderate price, and the week starts on Tuesday · Mondays are closed. Two things recur in the reviews. The first is the food: it is described as homemade in the literal sense, with ingredients from the households nearby · someone mentions a noodle soup made with a chicken raised next door. The second is the sunset: several guests say that if you come in the evening you catch the sun going down over the river, and that it is worth planning for. There is a terrace, free parking, bookings and room for groups.

A really cool family-owned restaurant and guesthouse right by the Nistru. What I like here is the character · it doesn't feel like somebody copied a hotel concept from somewhere else. The traditional reed roof, beautiful cellar, good food and location by the river give the whole place its own personality. It's also a great stop when exploring this part of the Nistru, especially when you connect several villages into one trip.

“Rustic Moldovan cottage right on Dniester River with a really cool traditional roof, great food & service”
“I came to this place with my child, and honestly, I’ve rarely encountered such poor service. The waiters were arrogant and told us there was a free table. We waited there, in the sun, for over 30 minutes, asking multiple times for the menu. Eventually, a young woman approached and told us to leave because the table was actually reserved. When I asked why we were told the table …”
