AgroPensiunea La Popas
Traditional meal on the terrace under a wattle-and-vine canopy · placinte, sarmale and house wine 5 minutes from the cave monastery
Long lunch under the vine canopy — warm placinte trio + sarmale + mămăligă with sheep cheese + a carafe of house wine from the cellar barrel · 250 MDL/person
La Popas is one of the oldest pension-restaurants in Butuceni — a traditional homestead with an open yard, a long table under a woven-wattle canopy and grapevines climbing the eaves. The hosts serve Moldovan dishes — warm placinte (poale-n-brâu with cheese, with potato, with cabbage), sarmale in vine leaves, mămăligă with sheep cheese, clay-oven lamb — all home-cooked from neighbor-farm ingredients. The wine comes from cellar barrels. The location is perfect for a long lunch after the Butuceni cave monastery — 5 minutes on foot. Small capacity, maximum intimacy.

- Hosts use neighbor-farm ingredients · zero industrial
- 5-minute walk from the Butuceni cave monastery — perfect lunch stop
- House wine straight from cellar barrels
- Long table set for lunch under the wattle-and-vine canopy with clay pots and woven baskets
- Cave monastery sign visible from the yard with the canopy in the foreground
- Steaming placinte trio on a wooden board next to a glass carafe of house wine
