Campingul din Vadul lui Vodă
Classic family campsite on the Dniester at Vadul lui Vodă · beach, set-up BBQ spots, generous RV parking · 25 km from Chișinău
Friends' weekend: tent spot + BBQ + sunset on the beach with the bridge silhouetted in mauve · campsite fee ~150 MDL per person + your own provisions
The Vadul lui Vodă campsite is the best-known campground close to Chișinău — 25 km east and you're on the Dniester, in Moldova's historic recreation area. The grounds have generous tent-and-RV parking, set-up BBQ spots with picnic tables, access to the sandy beach by the bridge (magical view at sunset, when the concrete bridge becomes a silhouette against a purple sky) and bars and restaurants on the opposite side of the bridge. Weekends come with noise — music from speakers, kids running around — but also quiet mornings when the river breathes mist. Perfect for a night under the stars, morning fishing, or a friends' outing with grill and beer.

“A bit old. Needs to be renovated. But it reminds me of my childhood and summer vacations as a kid. 🥹”
“Some good camp houses are available to rent for an affordable price. Some have pools on their perimeter. The river Nistru and the sand beach are close by. Not so many parking spots, but there is a paid parking lot.”
“Super”
- Crowded and noisy on summer weekends — go on weekday for quiet
- Bathrooms basic — not luxury camping
- Some weekends have loud nearby parties at the riverbank bars
