Duruita Camping
A camp with A-frame cabins by the Duruitoarea gorge, among cliffs, a lake and the Prut floodplain
A night in an A-frame cabin or tent by the Duruitoarea gorge, with a swimming lake and rock hikes a few steps away.
A camp well placed for exploring Moldova’s north-west corner: gorge, grotto and lake all a few steps away. The A-frame cabins and the views make up for the camping comfort. Worth it for a weekend in nature, if the long drive does not put you off.
On the edge of the Duruitoarea gorge, the camp offers wooden A-frame cabins and tent spots among limestone cliffs and green hills, with a lake to swim in nearby. It makes a good base for scrambling the rocks, the Paleolithic grotto and sunsets over the Prut floodplain. Rustic, quiet, in northern Moldova.

“We wanted to go for a hike somewhere in north-western part of Moldova and this seemed like a good place. It was listed on the Explore Moldova site so we gave it a shot. Unfortunatley, it is just a cave that is not that overwhelming but the hike on top of the hills is pretty nice. However the path is not that easily managable and we had to use maps in order to stay on the path …”
