GOGU Winery

GOGU Winery is a family winery from Căușeni that has made minimal intervention its signature—fermentation in clean stainless steel tanks, sulfites only at bottling, small production on each label. The Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and house reds come out in just a few thousand bottles a year, and you can taste the difference: living wine with vineyard character, not factory character. A visit is straightforward, with the producer—you call ahead, go down among the tanks, taste by the barrels, and leave with the bottle you've just come to understand. It's the kind of winery you won't find in a supermarket, but you're seeing more and more often on the wine lists of good restaurants in Chișinău and even abroad.
