Vara pension occupies a traditional farmstead in Merenii Noi village (Anenii Noi district), about 15 km from Chișinău, with 6 welcoming rooms opening onto a 1.5-ha orchard of apple, pear and plum trees plus a small carp-fishing lake. The hosts' speciality: 100% farm-to-table cuisine - breakfast with eggs from 40 yard hens, honey from their own hives, plum magiun simmered in a cauldron over fire, fresh cheese and morning-baked pies. Herb garden with 30+ aromatics (basil, thyme, lavender, mint) used in teas and aromatherapy. Activities: fishing, carriage rides through the Codru forest, traditional pie workshops, herbal wood-barrel steam baths. Excellent base for Cricova/Mileștii Mici.
