A state nature reserve near the village of Rădenii Vechi, in Ungheni district, 70 km west of Chișinău as the crow flies, run by a forestry enterprise whose site publishes mostly news and administrative notices. A visitor quoting the official data writes that the reserve "was founded in 1992 and has an area of 5642 ha", with hornbeam on about 31% of the forested area, ash on 21%, and beech, "although it has a share of only 5%, the most widespread here compared to the rest of the country".
