Memorial home of writer Constantin Stamati, Pushkin's friend and co-founder of the Romanian Academy in Bessarabia
Tur ghidat prin casa-bucătărie de vară a lui Constantin Stamati cu obiecte personale, traduceri Pușkin și teiul secular din curte plantat de scriitor
Memorial museum built on the site of the former estate of Constantin Stamati, the Bessarabian literary figure who translated Pushkin's works and co-founded the Romanian Academy in Bessarabia in 1866. The surviving building—originally the summer kitchen where the writer received guests—now houses personal belongings, books, period clothing, coins, and family documents. A passionate guide shares stories of Stamati's friendship with Pushkin, his Order of St. Anne award, and the final years he spent here until his death in 1869. Outside stands a centuries-old linden tree, believed to have been planted by the writer himself. The visit lasts 45-60 minutes and offers an intimate window into 19th-century Bessarabian literary life. Perfect for history and literature lovers, especially in spring when the linden blooms.
