Cristian's family farm in Breanova village welcomes you with warm homemade pies and horn compote, then takes you on a horse-drawn cart ride through rolling hills with views over Orhei National Park. Children pet lambs, try milking goats, and hear stories about shepherding, while adults soak in the peaceful countryside. The day ends with a traditional Moldovan feast cooked in a cauldron by the fire — sarmale (stuffed cabbage rolls), mămăligă (polenta), sheep cheese and homemade pălincă (fruit brandy) — accompanied by folk songs. Best visited in spring or autumn, when the hills are green and flocks graze freely.
