Working monastery in the forest, on the edge of the village of Cosăuți, near Soroca, open daily from 7:30 to 17:00. The reviews all say much the same thing: it is beautiful and quiet, and the welcome is warm. The place is run by three nuns, one visitor notes. What draws pilgrims is the spring, whose water is said to be healing and which you can take home with you. Beside it is a small lake where local people fish, and the grounds are open for walking, with the option of a picnic. Candles can be lit in the church. Two complaints recur in the reviews. The first is the road: one visitor describes it as terrible and says that if it rains it is hard to get through. The second is litter: a visitor who otherwise praises the place asks those who come to keep it clean.
