Worth it for the sparkling wines and for buying, not for a visit: one guest says it is a tiny shop where you cannot get a glass or sit outside.
Producer of still and sparkling wines, based at Cricova, about 15 km from Chișinău. One thing has to be said at the outset, because it is the main complaint in the reviews: this is not a winery to visit in the usual sense. A one-star visitor describes it bluntly as a tiny shop inside what looks like an industrial estate, where you cannot get a glass of wine and cannot sit outside. Those who come knowing that are satisfied: the sparkling wines are praised as being of a very high standard, and one visitor names a Muscat rosé they call amazing and a Chardonnay, adding that the bottle is beautiful too. The praise has an outside echo: at the Frankfurt International Trophy 2024, Métier took the competition trophy for the best wine from Moldova, along with a gold medal, according to the organiser's trophy list. The hours are narrow: weekdays only, until 16:30, closed at weekends.
