Turnul de Observare a Păsărilor · Slobozia Mare
Wooden tower in the middle of the reeds — the best birding spot at Beleu.
Sunrise climb with binoculars — pelicans, herons, lily carpet below.
Observation tower built by the Prutul de Jos Biosphere Reserve on the shore of Lake Beleu — three-level wooden structure with a roof, reached by stairs. From the top you see water lilies, herons, egrets, wild ducks, and in spring and autumn flocks of migrating birds. Free access, but the country road from Slobozia Mare can be tough in spring and after rain (4x4 or bike recommended). Best time: 30 minutes before sunrise, when birds are active.
