Carlevana is a pioneer winery in Merenii Noi village (~25km from Chișinău), with roots from 1959. Two rare historic achievements: first Moldovan winery to produce Ice Wine (2003) and the country's only Port-style wine producer (aged 3 years in oak barrels). Plus the Ambrosia Riesling with noble rot (botrytis) — another Moldovan first. Production focuses on 6 premium collections: Collection wines, Ice Wine & Late Harvest, Kosher (only kosher-certified winery in Anenii area), Raritet, Renaissance, Mereni. All grapes Moldovan, processed entirely on-site. Wines have received international medals and high ratings.
