Costești-Stânca Lake is a dam-reservoir built between Moldova and Romania on the Prut river (1978), covering 5900 ha. Moldova's second-largest lake after Cuciurgan. Wild beaches (no built infrastructure), relatively clean water, fishing with permit (catfish, carp, crucian). Major bird migration point — spring and autumn bring swans, ducks, geese. NOT to be confused with Complexul Turistic Costești (campsite next door, separate entry).
