Costești-Stânca Lake is a dam-reservoir built between Moldova and Romania on the Prut river (1978), covering 5900 ha. The largest reservoir on the territory of Moldova. Wild beaches (no built infrastructure), relatively clean water, fishing with permit (catfish, carp, crucian). Major bird migration point - spring and autumn bring swans, ducks, geese. NOT to be confused with Complexul Turistic Costești (campsite next door, separate entry).
