The National History Museum of Moldova (MNIM) on 31 August 1989 Street 121A was established on December 21, 1983 as the State Museum of MSSR History, by Ministry of Culture Order no. 561. It absorbed the Republican Museum of Military Glory and the historical collection of the State Museum of MSSR History and Regional Studies. Today it houses a patrimony of over 345,000 pieces of historic, documentary and artistic value. The monumental building in the heart of Chișinău has 12 exhibition halls + a diorama, on 5,700 m².
