Vinăria Poiana is a family winery founded in 2003 in Ulmu (Ialoveni district), in the Codru wine region, on an estate hidden in a clearing surrounded by forests. Radu Rada grows 11 grape varieties on 36 hectares of clay-limestone soils and makes around 25,000 bottles a year - sparkling, dry whites, rosé and reds. The Poiana Rosé Brut sparkling won Gold at Effervescents du Monde, and a Fumé Blanc took Silver at Concours Mondial de Bruxelles. Visits are by appointment, and the estate also has a guesthouse.

“My belly and soul is full! The service is top-tier, thanks to the polite staff. I'm super satisfied with the white wine and white menu (01). The cheese platter and digestif (rose and grapefruit liquor) were such a nice touch. And they refill water all the time. The views on the vineyards are superb.”
